In early March the Mid North WoTL Group and Elders Burra worked together to run the “Better Business, Better Sheep, Better You” forum at the beautiful Baldina Station.
Women from across the mid north of South Australia attended and had the opportunity to listen to a number of high quality presentations.
The project was supported by the South Australian Murray Darling Basin Natural Resources Management Board through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program, Elders and NRM levies.
Thank you to Mid North WoTL Coordinator Natalie Sommerville for organising another great forum, as well as a number of people for the continual support of WoTL Taryn Mangelsdorf, Tony Randall, Judy Wilkinson, Deb Purvis, Steph Schmidt and Sharon Honner.
Parts of Australia are currently experiencing the devastating effects of drought. The recent “Weathering the Drought” workshop, held at Minnipa on the Eyre Peninsula, covered a range of resilience, communication, time management and personal / business planning topics. The workshop was delivered to a number of women from the local agricultural community.
The day finished with a fun session on developing a personal vision board, demonstrated by the participants in the featured photo.
Thank you to Jeanette Gellard from Innovative Influences for delivering the program at Minnipa and Streaky Bay.
The program was supported by Eyre Peninsula Natural Resources Management (NRM), Department for Environment and Water, Minnipa Ag Centre and the Streaky Bay Council.
