Our Staff

Since 2017, WoTL has grown from a single employee, to a thriving, remotely based team. Meet the WoTL staff who are the driving force behind the conferences, programs and events you’ve come to love.

Kim Blenkiron, Executive Officer

Kim Blenkiron is the Executive Officer of WoTL, bringing a strong commitment to empowering women in agriculture and strengthening rural communities. With more than 25 years’ experience working across the agricultural sector, Kim has built her career on connecting people, developing leaders, and creating opportunities for women to thrive in their businesses, careers and communities.

Kim joined WoTL after years of working closely with farming families, industry organisations, and regional communities, where she saw first-hand the power of connection, skills development, and supportive networks—particularly for women living and working in isolated environments. As EO, she leads WoTL’s strategic growth, national program delivery, and development of innovative initiatives such as leadership programs, regional networks, and the flagship Thriving Women Conference.

Known for her warm leadership style and practical approach, Kim is passionate about supporting women to build confidence, capability and resilience. She works closely with volunteers, partners and communities to create welcoming spaces where women can learn, share experiences, and shape positive change in agriculture.

Kim is also an avid bushwalker and advocates strongly for health and wellbeing in rural communities. She understands the unique pressures faced by women on the land and champions activities that build social connection, mental fitness and strong support networks.
Based in South Australia, Kim brings authenticity, energy and a deep love of agriculture to everything she does. She is dedicated to ensuring WoTL continues to uplift, inspire and connect women across Australia’s agricultural landscape.

Alyx Selsmeyer, Partnerships and Relationships Manager

Alyx Selsmeyer brings global agricultural experience and a deep passion for rural communities to her role as WoTL’s Partnerships and Relationships Manager. Originally from a dairy and cropping farm in Wisconsin, USA, Alyx moved to Australia nearly 10 years ago where her role selling red tractors took her across Australia and New Zealand — living out of planes, utes and country hotels and immersing her fully in agriculture Down Under.

Calling the Barossa home, Alyx enjoys living among some of Australia’s most iconic agricultural regions. She also serves on the State Board for the Agricultural Bureau of South Australia, continuing her commitment to supporting rural communities. Her spinal fusion as a teenager sparked a lifelong dedication to movement, and she can often be found doing CrossFit, hiking, teaching yoga or learning more about health and wellness.

Outside of work, Alyx is a country-music lover, a chai-latte drinker, and an enthusiastic baker with a soft spot for cake experiments. When travelling, she loves visiting local farms to learn how food is grown and taste everything she can, with food nutrition, soil health and farming systems being her favourite topics to explore. Alyx also grew up sailing and still competes in international regattas with her family whenever the opportunity arises. Friends know her as the person who will say yes to almost any adventure.

Alyx’s global ag background, enthusiasm for rural communities and passion for building strong relationships make her a valuable addition to the WoTL team.

Kathy Moloney, Events Coordinator

Kathy Moloney joins our remote WoTL team as Events Coordinator, playing a key role in delivering the premier agricultural event on our calendar, the Thriving Women Conference. Based in NSW, Kathy brings extensive experience working with, supporting, and proudly being a rural woman.

Kathy grew up on a cattle and sheep farm in the South East of South Australia before career opportunities took her to Victoria and the Northern Territory. She eventually settled on a broadacre farm in Southern NSW as a fourth-generation farmer alongside her husband Shaune and their three daughters. Reflecting on her new role, Kathy shared, “I am very excited and proud to be working within a team that is committed to connecting and supporting Women in Agriculture.”

Deeply engaged in her local community, Kathy is known for her energy, passion and commitment to keeping small rural towns vibrant. Whether it’s the School P&C, the Oaklands Harvest Ball, the Melbourne Cup Luncheon, sporting committees or local volunteering, Kathy is the person who gets involved and helps make things happen.

When she does find spare time, Kathy loves camping with family and friends, cooking over a good campfire, and spending summer days watching everyone take to the water-skis. A keen fan of live music, her all-time favourite concert was seeing Keith Urban with her daughters under the stars in Deniliquin — a performance she enjoyed so much she went again the following week in Melbourne.

Kathy’s passion, work ethic and integrity embody WoTL’s values, and she is a wonderful addition to our team.

Kathy can be contacted regarding the Thriving Women Conference, on events@wotl.com.au

Rebecca O’Leary, Ambassador Coordinator

Rebecca has called the Clare Valley home for the last 17 years, previously having worked throughout SA and the NT and even NZ.  Having a background in land management, Rebecca has worked for various conservation and National Park departments in leadership roles.  Some of her experiences include abseiling down Uluru, conducting snake surveys at  Fogg Dam, rescuing people in the East MacDonnell Ranges and releasing weather balloons on Raoul Island (1000 nautical miles off NZ North Island).

Wanting to raise her two daughters closer to family and give them a country childhood, prompted the move to the Clare Valley.  Rebecca has lived regionally and remotely throughout her career and is a strong advocate of supporting women living rurally. This was the motivation to work for WoTL to support all the women who are local community leaders.

When she’s not supporting Ambassadors, she’s an artist and pursuing the development of her newly launched business, Happy Echidna Art.  A passionate lino printmaker, she has exhibited in many places including Adelaide, Waikerie, Burra and Clare.  With the recent purchase of a printing press (she’s still dreaming about a studio) she is investing in seeing where her love of this art form takes her.

With two daughters, her husband Paul, border collie Jack and a few other animals in the mix, the O’Leary house is always a busy hive of activity.

Belinda-Jane Moroney, Administration and Finance Officer

Belinda-Jane “Beej” Moroney is WoTL’s Administration and Finance Officer, bringing organisation, adaptability and a steady “can-do” spirit to the team. Originally from Riverton in the Mid North, Beej now lives on the family farm at Kapinnie on the Lower Eyre Peninsula with her husband Luke and their children.

Before joining WoTL, Beej completed an Advanced Diploma in Agribusiness Management, followed by a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping. These skills now anchor her work behind the scenes, supporting WoTL’s operations and ensuring the smooth delivery of programs, events and financial processes. As WoTL has grown, Beej’s role has evolved too — shifting between administration, finance and communications whenever needed, reflecting both her versatility and her commitment to the organisation.

Belinda-Jane is an active and engaged member of the Cummins community, proudly embodying the town’s “Can Do” spirit, whether that’s volunteering on local committees, coaching, playing and being treasurer at the netball, or helping keep community events running.

Away from the desk and many, many spreadsheets, Beej finds her happiest moments near water, camping with family and friends, exploring new places, or simply sitting in a hammock with a cuppa and a good book. A creative at heart, she enjoys writing with purpose and imagination, often joking that she wishes she were Julia Donaldson for a day.

Beej’s blend of practicality, creativity and genuine care for rural communities makes her an invaluable part of the WoTL team, supporting the organisation’s mission to empower women in agriculture.

Belinda-Jane can be contacted at admin@wotl.com.au
